Synopsis

AAi (a Mother) is a film about a mother’s unconditional love for her son, the film is her perspective of having a baby and watching her son grow up, and everything that happens in the middle.
The Film is set up in India and spawns over several years and several generation of one family.

Director's BIO

Aroop Dwivedi is a 38 year old Scriptwriter, sound designer, Animation trainer and Film designer from India, who has mentored several student short films in last couple of years.
He graduated in Commerce in 1998 from University of Kanpur and then enrolled in a certification program run by the collaborative efforts of Star Toons International, Chicago and Annapurna Film studio, Hyderabad, after finishing his basic program in Classical Animation; he joined Software Frontiers Ltd, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat and became a member of their Animation team.
He then went on to become a part of Dataquest information and technology Pvt Limited, Hyderabad - one of India’s largest Animation Studio, he joined it at the time of its inception, it was here that he got his first chance to work on several international projects.
He later decided to take his chances with Intellectual property creation and was a part of several studios’ working towards creating exclusive Indian content; he worked with them in various capacities over a period of next 6 years which included Content Writer, Scriptwriter, Storyboard Artist, Sound Designer and Animator.
He has been working in the production and education sector at tandem for last 15 years, where other than working on occasional international projects, he has also helped in designing the animation syllabus for several Indian universities.
He during his tenure in training mentored critically acclaimed students film- “Monetalis” and “Abegetiar Beloi- an Assami Musical”.
He loves the work of Yuri Norstein, Bill Plympton, Terry Gilliam, Ray Harryhausen and NFB Canada.
He is passionate about the classical style of animation and loves photography and watching Korean Films.
