Underwater is a short surreal animation about a struggle against emotional stress.
The heroine resides in an abnormal world, in constant limbo between water and air. While she deals with feelings of suffocation and distress, others around her are not affected. She tries to escape, but the water retDirector's BIO
Tamar Akavia is an illustrator and animator, freshly graduated from Shenkar College of Design and Engineering (2014), also holding a B.Sc in mathematics and history.
Created “Beijing” with fellow animator – Dorit Magidor - for the Holon Maratoon contest (a five day animation challenge) and won the citation award by the jurors. Also received a special prize for her short film commissioned by Taub center (2013).
Won three honors and prizes for her accomplishments in illustration and animation during her studies in Shenkar.Contacts
